Wedding in Mürren

One of my favourite places in Switzerland is a placed called Mürren. It is a small village of 450 people that can only be reached by cable car. From here one can walk up to Schilthorn (where James Bond was once recorded). The area is absolutely stunning. Naturally when I got a wedding request for this location I was very excited!
The bride and groom got ready at Hotel Eiger. The groom got ready at his friends suite which by coincidence had the theme of James Bond. Felt very ‘groom-y’ in there (in a funny way). After that I spent time with the bride and we took a small electric car to the curling hall. Due to the raise of covid it was decided to get married in a bigger space. Not the most conventional place but it worked out perfectly. After the ceremony the rain came in and it allowed everyone to chill under a ceiling. Luckily, the rain went away and the sun came out. With that people could enjoy being outside and also take in the majestic views of Mürren.
After the wedding ceremony and the apero we took some wedding portraits around the area. When we returned the dinner and party was next. It was a rather big wedding and it was so incredibly nice to be among people again. My personal highlight was when the party started. People really had fun (I hope the photos shows that). The best part was when the great band invited the groom up on stage to play some drums. When he went up he gave the impression that he did not know much but he knocked it out of the park. People started to dance, shout and scream. It was great to see!
I hope you will enjoy these wedding photos.
