Wedding in Baar

World Cup years are great. In year 2010 I was covering a wedding during a world cup game so during a break I managed to catch a glimpse of the game together with two guests called Gregor and Alex. 2 years after that game I covered the wedding of Gregor. This year I had the honour to cover the wedding of Alex and his lovely wife Denise.

I started the day by meeting Denise at her house in Neuheim and then took a very old school car to meet Alex by Unterägeri lake. On the way we had to stop by Neuheim firestation because they had the most amazing view (see the first photo).

As we arrived it started to rain so Alex and Denise saw each other “for the first time” whilst it rained but as they got together it stopped raining. We had an entire portrait session with perfect weather. As we jumped into the car to drive to the ceremony in Baar it started to rain again.

The ceremony took place at the reformierte Kirche in Baar and the apero was just outside. Again the sun was shining when the apero started and it lasted for 2 hours. After the couple jumped into the car to go to the dinner it started to rain A LOT. It was raining so hard that we could barely see anything as we drove. It was crazy! As we were in the mountains we drove THROUGH a cloud and it was hard core rain. Luckily it did not matter anymore.

The dinner and party took place at Restaurant Raten. They had lovely food, lots of laughter together and then they rounded it up by a party on the patio of the restaurant.

I wish these guys a great life together!
