Heal & Domenique – Chinese Wedding – July 7th 2012

Heal and Dominique first got married in Giessbach (and you can see their amazing western wedding here) but then a couple of weeks later they had their chinese wedding in Zurich. This blog is about their second celebration. This is the second time I attend a chinese wedding – or rather tea ceremony. It all took place in Heal’s parents house. Very personal and intimate. It started off with LOTS of food (and Heal’s mum make the most amazing dessert), then prayers to the ancestors and finally serving tea to their elders and closest family. Nice tradition! They also get a red envelope from them which usually contain some “goodies”. Win-win 🙂

After the tea ceremony we took some quick portraits around the house and then prepared for the evening. For this part Heal changed into her wedding dress. How great isn’t that for me as a photographer? two totally different outfits in one day. They both looked great!
