Wedding Day – Indian Wedding, Kenya
I thought this would be my last post about the 4 day event in Mombasa, Kenya but it will be the second last. However, this is the main post in my opinion. This is from the actual wedding day. It started off by a celebration in the morning (this will be displayed in another post) and then another celebration for the groom – it was great to be part of it. They were all dancing and singing! The groom’s family brought the groom to a meeting point with the parents of the bride. Then there was a small ceremony and ended with a little game – the game was for the mum to pinch the nose of the groom. To show she is still in control
See photos below to see what happened.
The ceremony itself was postponed because of the weather – when the sun came out the ceremony started on the beach. The ceremony finished as the sun went down. Perfect timing in other words.
After that there was a small break and the evening celebrations started. Nisha and Ankeet both had a special entrance for the final party (again, see photos
).
Anyway, here it goes ….
