Maria and Gregor had their wedding in Zug on the 3rd of September, 2011. I was lucky to meet this great couple at their friends Nicole & Etienne’s wedding. A very spontanoues couple with lots of energy. Just being around them one can see why they work so great together. I believe Maria is good to bring up the tempo when it is needed and Gregor knows how to bring it down when needed. It was an internationl wedding as Maria is from Spain whilst Gregor is from Switzerland. I love weddings when they bring different traditions together. For example, in spain they take a scissor and cut the garter from the bride. Then they cut it into smaller pieces and auction it each piece. The winner pays the cash and get a shot of spirits as a ‘thanks’. Great little game which also raises some money for the couple. It was especially funny when the girls started to bid for the garter. Sometimes they also take the tie from the guy and auction that out. The couple had arranged great wedding favours for their guests – the guys gut a nice personalised cigarr whilst the women got a fan (which was good – as it was a warm day).
The wedding ceremony took place at Kussnacht am Rigi Churc, the apero also took at school in Kussnacht which had a lovely view of the lake and the second apero/dinner/party took place in the very beautiful Theater Zug Casino.
I love the fact that Maria and Gregor were slightly crazy – look at the first picture. It was really pouring down with rain and when I asked them to stand outside with no protection above them then they did not hesitate a second. We also did it more than one time. Simply a great couple!
