You want to see a wedding from Positanto and Amalfi in Italy? Then you are in for a treat.
I have done several weddings in the Amalfi Coast but not in the town of Amalfi. The day before the wedding I was walking around with my mum and we decided to visit the wedding venue. The hotel was NH Convento di Amalfi. For people who have not been to the Amalfi. The entire coast is full of steep mountains with houses scattered everywhere. We came to the bottom of a mountain and saw the entrance to the hotel. There is a small reception and a lift. Once you enter the lift you fly up to the top of the mountain. Oh my. What a view. What a location. I can try to explain it in words but it won’t do it justice. Hopefully the photos convey the message better than I can do with words!
The wedding preparation for the bride started at NH Convento di Amalfi whilst the groom got ready in Positano. At hotel Hotel Palazzo Murat. After he was ready he and his best mans walked down to the Positano beach where an amazing yacht was awaiting them. They cruised the Mediterranean sea for a while before driving to Amalfi. After that a Rolls-Royce took them to the hotel. Talk about arriving in Style!
One of the main features of this hotel is its own chapel. It is amazing. In the past the hotel used to be a monastery and that is why it is a perfect spot for a wedding. The wedding ceremony took place in its chapel and then the cocktail hour on a terrace with a view of the entire Amalfi coast. The dinner was also at the hotel but on “the other side”. This location is really perfect for a wedding as you can be in three different spots but stay in one location.
Last but definitely not last. This entire wedding was planned and coordinated by Italia Celeberation. I have worked with Brenda and her team several times and I always know it will be special when these guys do something. Yet again they delivered. If you plan a wedding in Italy then you should definitely speak to them.
