St Moritz Wedding
This St Moritz wedding took place at the fairy tale like hotel Suvretta House. It wasn’t as fairy tale wedding – it was much more real than that. An intimate celebration with the closest friends and family. Very relaxed with a nice touch of class and elegance. Such a joy to work with such easy going people!
You know a bride has style when she buys a wedding dress and then modifies it by adding her own touch to it. It turned out great!I really liked the groom too – he hugged everyone around him and really wanted to know how people were doing. In other words, a cool couple!
They both live in New York but the groom is originally from France. The reason they chose Survetta House was that the groom’s grandfather went to hotel quite a bit and like it a lot there. When I arrived there I could see why. As I mentioned initially, it looks like a big fairy tale castle. The service inside is very nice and it has a beautiful view of the alps.
The wedding day started off with preparation with the bride (and also some champagne as well of course) and then I went to the groom and the guys (they didn’t have any champagne though. 1-0 to the girls). The ceremony was outdoors with a view of St Moritz lake and town. Fantastic view! It was a Jewish ceremony held by one of their friends. Afterwards an apero outdoors with some food. Then all the guests had a little break (advantage of everything staying at the same place) before the appetizer and dinner started. A really nice thing that the couple did in their speech was to thank each guest individually. It was very emotional when it came to say ‘thank you’ to their parents. Loved it! There were also a lot of laughter when the two best men spoke – they managed to pull up a toy from their early childhood which caused a lot of memories coming back. It was great!
