Fredrik and Ilka had an amazing wedding at Il Borro in Tuscany – this is easy to say but you will see it in the next five (!) posts. Their three days were so eventful that I have to divide it into the following posts: engagement session (this post), pizza night at the old village of Il Borro, Pool Party, Rehearsal dinner with some amazing lights and the main event itself of course – the wedding day.
Fredrik and I know each other from before as we both attended the Red Cross Nordic United World College. He came one year after I arrived to the school. The school was in a very remote area so you really got to know every single person who attended the school – no exception with Fredrik of course. Having said this, I could straight away see a new side to him when he was with his true love. The three day event started with an ‘engagement session’ and this was the first time I met his better half – Ilka. She, like me, is from Sweden and she is very easy going and driven. The word ‘driven’ might also be a word one can use easily because it sounds good but in her case I really “saw” it.
Anyway, these photos were taken in the old village of Il borro. Also where their pizza night took place. If you imagine an “italian pizza night in Tuscany” then I would not be surprised if this is the place you are actually imagining.
The entire wedding was planned by uber talented Brenda Babcock and her team at http://www.italia-celebrations.com/. If you are planning to have a wedding in Tuscany then she is THE person to contact. Trust me on that one.
Enjoy the photos!
