Bettina and Patrick chose Castello di Morcote for their super fun wedding on the Swiss National Day. By the time the wedding I arrived it felt like I knew these guys really well because I also covered Bettina’s hendo party and their civil wedding/BBQ.
The preparation started inside the Swiss Diamond hotel which is located right next to Lugano Lake and very close to the lovely village Morcote. During the groom’s preparation I was told he looked for a bowtie that you could tie yourself in over 30 stores. This guy know what he wanted – and he got it. Both looked great I must say.
There was one part of the day that gave me the shivers – one of the main reasons they wanted to get married in the south of Switzerland was because they really wanted warm weather and have everything outdoors. During the preparation it started to rain so the bride asked the groom to go to the wedding location to instruct Diego from Eventopolis to move the ceremony from the garden to inside the casel. When he came back he told the bride that they moved everything inside and it looks great. However, when I went to the groom he said that he did not move it inside and he gambled that it would stop raining. He was right. The sun came out and it was fabulous.
These guys really know how to party – as soon as the music started the craziness started. They also had a saxophonist which played amazingly well along to the music. Check out the photos and you will see what I mean. Enjoy!
