Gadget Update!
It was time to buy some new gadgets. This time I went for an HD-ready projector (Optoma HD700X) and to justify it I thought I could even transport this projector to clients who would like to view slide shows - maybe potentially at the wedding itself! But for now – it will be used to watch movies ……

The second gadget that I really look forward to playing around with is this Lowel ID Video light. The difference between a video light and camera light is that video light is a constant light and you can see the affect the light will have. The disadvantage though is that the light itself is not as strong and therefore requires you to use a high iso or a lens which is very light sensative. This is assuming you want to create a high-contrast photo. Anyhow, a lot of wedding photographers have been playing around with this kind of light and you can get some great portrait shots by using one. I also read a flash photography book by Neil van Niekerk. It inspired me to understand light even more and especially how and when to use flash in a natural way. Therefore I also bought a boom kit from B&H where I can play around with externa flash and also reflectors. In other words, exciting times ahead!
